Winter special WALNUT HALWA

 

Ingredients—

 

Walnuts 1cup
Ghee 1/4cup
Khoa 3 tbsp
Milk 3/4cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder 1/4tsp
Saffron a few strand soaked in 1 tsp warm milk
Dry roast the walnuts to remove the moisture.
Cool and crush into coarse powder.

 

Method–


Heat ghee in a pan.
Add the crushed walnuts roast for 2to 3 minutes.
Add the khoa and mix well.
Pour the milk and cook till it the milk is absorbed.
Add the sugar and saffron mixture.
Cook on medium heat till it ghee gets separated.
Add cardamom powder.
Garnish with walnuts.
Serve warm.
Excellent energy booster in winter!
