Urad dal 1cup Rice 1 tbsp Finely chopped greens Thandalya ki bhaaji 1/2 to 3/4 cup Finely chopped green chillies 6 or as per taste Oil 1tbsp Salt 1/2tsp Hing 1/4 tsp Oil for frying
Method:
Soak dal and rice separately for 1 hr. Drain them. First take the rice in mixer jar and grind into a paste. Then add the dal and salt crush it coarsely. Take into a bowl .add hing and chopped green chillies. Mix. Heat 1tbsp oil (smoking hot)and add to the batter. Mix well. Now heat the oil in a kadai for frying. Lastly add the chopped greens to the batter mix lightly. Make vadas on a greased plastic paper and fry on medium heat.serve hot coconut chutney or ginger chutney. P.s.if making in large quantity do not add the greens at one time.take a portion of the batter and add some greens!
