Celebrate this International Year of Millets with super healthy Sorghum (jowar)Rawa khichdi!😋
Ingredients–


Sorghum rawa 1cup
Green moong 1/4 cup
Whole moth 1/4 cup
Ghee or oil 4 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Hing1/4 tsp
Dhania jeera powder 1/2 tsp
Haldi powder 1/8 tsp
Potato diced 1 optional
Green chillies slit 3
Ginger grated 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves 6
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves and ginger juliennes for garnishing

 

Method–


Wash the sorghum rawa, moong and moth well.
Soak for atleast 1 hr.
Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker.
Add Rai , jeera and hing.
Add the diced potato, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves.
Saute for 2 minutes.
Add dhania jeera powder.
Mix well.
Add 2 1/4 cups of water.
Add salt,haldi and coriander leaves .
Let it boil well.
Add the washed sorghum rawa mixture.
When it starts boiling close the cooker and place the whistle.
Cook on slow flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
Allow the pressure to release.
Take the khichdi into a serving bowl.
Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and ginger juliennes.
Serve hot with salad and curd!
Note_you can add vegetables like carrot,peas, cauliflower,beans etc!
