Recipe for KHAMAN

Ingredients:-

 

Gram flour 1cup
Powderd Sugar1.5 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste
Soda 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder small pinch
Lemon juice 2 tsp
Oil 1tsp
Water 3/4 to1 cup
For Tadka
Oil 2tsp
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Sesame seeds 1tsp
Hing 1/4 tsp
Green chillies slit 2
Curry leaves 8
Sugar 1/2tsp
Water100ml

 

Method:-

 

Sieve gramflour, salt,sugar powder, turmeric powder and take in a bowl.
Boil water in a steamer and place the greased tray in it.
Add oil, lemon juice to gramflour .
Add water gradually till you get a smooth batter.
Finally add the soda .
Mix properly .
Pour the batter into the tray in the steamer.
Steam for 10 to 12 mins.
Cool,cut into pieces.
Tadka
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add mustard and sesame seeds.
When they splutter add hing,green chillies,curry leaves.
Add water and sugar.
Allow it to boil.
Remove from gas.
Cool it slightly.
Pour over the dhokla.
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
Serve with chutney.
