Mango rice
Ingredients–


Rice 1cup
Oil 4 tbsp
Chana dal 2tsp
Urad dal 2tsp
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Whole red chillies 2
Hing 1/4 tsp
Haldi 1/8 tsp
Cashew nuts 5or peanuts 2tbsp
Salt to taste
Green mango 1grated
Green chillies 5
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp

 

Method–


Cook the rice .
Grains should be separate not mushy!
Spread the rice in a thali.
Pour 1tsp oil and salt as per taste.
Keep aside.
Heat half of the oil and saute the grated mango for 5 minutes
Crush the green chillies and curry leaves coarsely.
Add to the grated mango mango .
Saute for 2to 3 minutes.
Spread over the rice
Now heat the remaining oil in a pan.
Add the dals, mustard seeds,red chillies,hing.
When it is half done add the nuts and hing.
Pour this tadka over the rice.
Add chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well.
Garnish with chopped coriander and nuts.
Serve with papad!
