Home made KARACHI HALWA which can be had on fasting days!
Ingredients–
Arrowroot 1/2 cup Sugar 1cup Ghee 3 tbsp Cashewnuts 2tbsp Saffron a few strands Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Method–
Take sugar in heavy bottom pan add 1/2 cup water and saffron.boil till it becomes sticky syrup. Meanwhile add water to arrowroot ,make flowy batter. Add this to the syrup. Cook on slow flame stirring continuously. Keep adding ghee little by little when it becomes a lump add the cashewnuts and cardamom. Mix well. Pour into a greased tray lined with parchment paper. Allow it to set for 10minutes. Cut and serve!
