Janmashtami special Nuts and Coconut Halwa

 
Ingredients–

 

cashewnuts crushed coarsely 1 cup
Almonds crushed coarsely 1/2cup
Pistachio crushed coarsely 1/4cup
Fresh coconut grated 1/3cup
Ghee 1/4cup
Sugar 1 1/2 cup
Milk 1 cup
Saffron a few strands
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Coconut and sliced nuts for garnish

 

Method–


Heat ghee in a pan.
Add crushed almonds and fry for 2 minutes.
Add crushed pistachio and fry for 1 minute.
Add crushed cashew nuts and and fry for 4 minutes.
Add hot milk.
Add saffron.
Mix well and cook till the milk is absorbed.
Add sugar and cook on slow flame.
Keep stirring.
Cook till the ghee separates.
Remove from gas.
Add cardamom powder, mix well.
Take into a serving bowl.
Garnish with sliced nuts and coconut!
