Gluten-free sandwiches with sorghum (jowar) Rawa and sorghum flour -- By Pramila Goswami
These days I am experimenting with millets!
Today I made these gluten free andwiches with sorghum (jowar)rawa and sorghum flour!
Recipe
Ingredients–
Jowar flour 3/4 cup
Jowar rava 1cup
Curd 3/4 cup
Chilly flakes 1tsp
Soda bi carb 1/4tsp
Salt as per taste
Filling you can use anything of your choice.
I used potato and cauliflower filling !
Filling
Boiled and mashed potatoes 2
Cauliflower grated 1/2cup
Green chillies and ginger finely chopped or crushed 1to 2 tsp
Amchoor 1/2tsp
Chaat masala 1/2tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2
Dhaniya jeera powder 1/2tsp
Oil1/2tsp
Jeera1/2tsp
Salt
Method–
Finely chopped coriander leaves 2tsp
Take jowar rava and jowar flour in a bowl.
Add salt and mix well.
Add the curd .
Mix well and add some water to adjust the consistency.
Should be thick like idly batter.
Allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
Filling
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add jeera and ginger chilly .
Add the cauliflower.
Saute for 5mins on low flame.
Add mashed potatoes,salt and all other spices.
Mix well.
Add the chopped coriander.
Now add the soda bi carb to the batter,mix well.
Take the toaster electric or the normal one i.e the one we use on gas.
I used the non electric one.
Apply oil and pour the batter and spread the filling.
Cover with the batter.
Drizzle some oil on top.
Toast both the sides on slow flame till becomes golden brown.
Take into the serving plate.
Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
