Weight loss soup for winters!

 

Ingredients–


Bottle gourd (lauki) cut into small pieces with skin 1 cup
Coriander leaves with stem
Pepper corns 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon juice 1/2tsp
Sugar 1/2tsp optional

 

Method–


Take bottle gourd pieces, pepper in a pressure cooker.
Separate the coriander leaves from the stem.
Chop the leaves finely and keep aside.
Chop the stem roughly and add to the bottle gourd.
Add 1.5 cup water to the bottle gourd and close the lid of the pressure cooker.
Cook on medium heat till three whistles or till the lauki is cooked very well.
Cool and strain it.
Take the cooked bottle gourd pieces into a mixie jar and make a smooth paste.
Mix with the strained lauki water.
Add salt and sugar .
Add some water to adjust the consistency.
Give it a boil.
Add the chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot.
If you are having this for weight loss have it as it is.
Otherwise you can serve with butter and cream on top.
Can be had on fasting days also!
