Tendli bhat with broken wheat
These days due to health issues I am avoiding rice so tried this Maharashtrian delicacy with broken wheat instead of rice! Turned out very well!So thought of sharing the recipe with you all!
Ingredients–
Broken wheat (मोटा वाला दलिया)_1 Cup
Tendli 6to8
Coriander powder 2tbsp
Chilly powder 4tsp
Lemon juice 2tsp
Jaggery 1tsp
Roasted, coarsely crushed peanuts 1tbsp
Dessicated coconut 2tbsp for masala,2 tsp for garnish
Hing 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
Green chillies 3 finely chopped
Grated ginger 1/2tsp
Curry leaves 8
Coriander leaves 2 tsp for masala,1 tsp for garnish
Oil 4tsp for tempering 1 tsp for masala
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds 1/4tsp
Cinnamon 1
Cloves 2
Bay leaf 1
Whole red chilly 1
Method–
Take coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder,salt, jaggery, lemon juice, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, dessicated coconut, crushed peanuts, coriander leaves,1tsp oil.
Mix well.
Slit the tendlis.
Stuff the masala in the tendlis.
Keep the extra masala aside.
