Quick potato rice


Ingredients–

 

Basmati rice 1 cup
Potatoes 2 medium size
Slit Green chillies 3
Curry leaves 8
Lemon juice 1tsp
Oil 4tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Urad dal 1tsp
Cinnamon 1″ piece
Cloves 2
Hing1/4 tsp
Chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves

 

Method–


Pressure cook the rice.
Don’t make it very mushy.
Spread the cooked rice in a bowl.
Cook the potatoes.
Peel and break into pieces.
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add cinnamon and cloves.
Add udad dal, mustard seeds and hing.
Fry till the dal turns golden brown.
Add slit green chillies and curry leaves
Add the potatoes fry for 1min.
Add the turmeric powder.
Turn off the gas.
Add the chilly powder and mix well.
Spread this over the rice.
Add salt and lemon juice.
Mix well.
Add coriander leaves.
Mix well.
Garnish with some coriander leaves.
Serve with curd or raita.
