Methi mutter malai

No onion no garlic!
Ingredients–


Chopped methi 2cups
Green peas 1/2 cup
Green chillies 2
Ginger a small piece
Cashew nuts 12
Melon seeds 2tsp
Cardamom 1
Cinnamon a small piece
Milk 1 cup
Malai 4tsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp
Khoya 2tbsp
Salt to taste
Ghee 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves 2tsp
Soak cashew nuts and melon seeds in 2 tbsp milk.

 

Method–


Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan and saute methi leaves till it becomes soft.
Add the green peas add a little water, sugar and cook till peas are soft.
Grind the soaked nuts with cardamom, cinnamon, green chillies and ginger.
Make a fine paste.
Heat the rest of the ghee in a pan.
Add cumin seeds.
When it splutters add the paste.
Fry on slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the milk.
Keep stirring.
Allow it to boil.
Add the cooked methi &mutter .
Add salt and mix well.
Keep stirring and cook for 5 minutes.
Add a little water if required.
Add malai.
Mix well.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Garnish with some malai and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti or Paratha.
