Instant Rawa Handvo By Pramila Goswami

“HANDVO” is a gujarati snack which requires prepreparaion like mixing rice and dals ,getting them ground,then add curd and allow it to ferment!This consumes lot of time needs planning. My recipe doesn’t need any pee preparation and hence can be made in jiffy! So let us start!


Ingredients:


Rawa 1cup
Rice flour 1/3 cup
Sour curd 1/2 cu
Corn 2tbsp
Fresh green chana 2tbsp if not available you can use green peas
Coriander seeds1tbsp
Sesame seeds (til)1tbsp for masala and 1tsp for tadka
Methi seeds1/2 tsp
Whole red chillies 6
Green chillies 2
Ginger 1″ piece
Curry leaves 8
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Hing 1/2 tsp
Oil 4tbsp
Salt
Fruit salt 1tsp

 

Method–


Take rawa,rice flour,curd ,salt in a bowl
Dry roast red chillies, methi,coriander,til
Crush with green chana,green chillies,ginger coarsely.
Add this to the batter.
Mix well.
Heat 2 tbsp oil add mustard,til and hing.
Add the curry leaves and salt. pour into the batter mix well.
Add water to make thick batter(like idly)
Heat rest of the oil in a heavy bottom pan.
Add fruit salt to the batter add a little water mix briskly.
Pour into the hot oil.
Cook on slow flame till becomes golden brown from sides. Flip it and allow to cook till done.
Serve with any chutney of your choice ketchup.
