Mutter paneer By Pramila Goswami (without onion and garlic)

Mutter paneer different fro the regular one which we get in restaurants! Its no onion no garlic recipe yet full of aroma of the fresh spices.you can enjoy this on fasting days also without compromising with the taste!


Ingredients:


Paneer 200 gms
Boiled green peas 3/4 cup
Roughly chopped tomatoes 4
Ginger 2 pieces 1inch each
Green chillies slit 4
Chopped cabbage2tbsp
Cashewnuts and melon seeds 3tbsp
Oil or ghee 3tbsp
Cinnamon 1piece
Cloves 3
Cardamom 2
Mace(javitri)a small piece
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder 2tsp
Coriander powder 1tsp
Sugar1/2 tsp
Cream 3tbsp
Salt to taste

 

Method–


Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan add cabbage .fry till golden brown.
Add the nuts .
Fry and add tomatoes,cardamom,cloves,cinnamon,one piece of ginger. Add a pinch of salt and saute till to mates are cooked.
Cool and grind into a fine paste.
Strain it.
Heat the rest of the ghee in another pan.
Add jeera, coriander powder, chilly powder.
Add the tomatoe paste.
Saute for 2 minutes.
Add 1 cup of water and allow to boil.
Add the boiled peas and cubed paneer.
Boil on slow flame for 5 minutes.
Add cream and off the gas.
Garnish with chopped coriander and fried cashewnuts.
Serve hot with naan or parathas.
